What is UVI.today?

UVI.today is a free UV index forecast service. It shows the current UV level, hourly forecasts for today and tomorrow, a 5-day UV trend, and sun protection recommendations based on World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.

Data sources

  • CAMS (Copernicus) — UV index data from satellite-measured ozone and aerosol observations via Open-Meteo
  • WHO — Sun protection categories and recommendations from Global Solar UV Index, 2002

How it works

UV data comes from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), which uses satellite-measured ozone and aerosol data for accurate UV index calculations worldwide. Weather data (temperature, cloud cover, sunrise/sunset) comes from the Open-Meteo forecast API.

Free and ad-supported

UVI.today is free to use. The service is supported by non-intrusive advertising. We do not sell personal data or require user accounts.
